Vita Spa 07 - Spa & Medical Spa - Expo & Conference

Vita Spa 07 was held on August 10th and 11th in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the first official congress of The Day Spa Association Latinoamérica, The International Medical Spa Association Latinoamérica and the Vita Spa local magazine. The event offered seminars and conferences with interesting information and experiences into the spa industry, mainly for the day spa business, medical spas and resort hotel spas.

Worth to mention were the presentations made by Mrs Hannelore Leavy, President of The Day Spa Association, and Mr. Eric Light, President of The International Medical Spa Association. Hannelore Leavy made a presentation about the Day Spa Business, its evolution and future, while Eric Light offered a presentation on the consumer trends for the spa industry.

Other presentations were related to the Spa Business in Latin American, Customer profiles, Medical Spa industry and new equipments and technologies, Mexican Hotel Resort Spa experiences, Day Spa experiences in Argentina, retail sales at spas, marketing for spas, spa branding, spa franchising and nutrition services for spas, among others.

Dr. Daniel Avaro, Manager, Aloetrade America -the company which own, operate and franchise the Aloe-Spa Salute per Aloe Services-, participated in the Congress and Conferences. He met main personalities of the industry and exchanged ideas and experiences with spa owners, spa investors and other people related to the spa industry into the Latin American region.

Close to 200 atendees were present at the first meeting of the Latin American Spa Industry, mainly from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and Mexico. An exhibition was also held at the hotel premises in paralell to the Congress and Conferences.
